The Asheville Brewing Super Hero 5K/Super Villain 10K will again start and finish at the Salvage Station. 

The 10K will start at 9AM and 5K at 9:10AM,

Super Walk starts at 8:45AM.

The courses will head down alongside the river, turn back toward the Salvage Station. The 10k will turn up Hill Street and includes some of the quieter sections of Montford before returning to the finish line and the post-race party.

Courses

 

Super Hero 5K

The race will start at the Salvage Station and take a right down Riverside. Right turn crossing the Craven St. bridge. Left on Craven. Right hand turn up Weaverville St. Left turn then a left turn again to head down Logan and past the Burger Barn. Left turn back onto Craven and back toward the Salvage Station.   See the 5K course map HERE.

 

Super Villain 10K

This race will start at the same time as the 5K.  Left hand turn onto Riverside. Right turn onto Broadway. Merge onto the greenway. Right hand turn up Magnolia. Right turn onto Cumberland. Left turn onto Panola. Right turn onto Montford. Left turn onto Santee, Left turn onto Pearson. Left turn down Tacoma and around Tacoma Circle and back to Pearson. Right on Grey, left on Madison. Run behind the Montford Community Center and onto Jersey St. Right onto Cortland. Right on Hill St. Right on River and into the Salvage Station.  See the 10K course map HERE.

 

Super Walkers 1 Mile

For those people who want in on the fun, but don't want to do the 5k. Dress up in costume or not. Untimed. Walkers, Runners, Strollers allowed. 8:45 am starting time. 

 

Super Sidekick Training Camp

This is a hero-themed obstacle course created and managed for us by Sun Soo Martial Arts. Only $5 per child. The course will be open from 9am-11am. Complete all 7 challenges and receive a Super Sidekick Training Camp button!

Stuff

The Asheville Running Experience is offering shirts for all events on an ala carte basis.  

 

Post-Race

All pre and post-race activities will take place at The Salvage Station. Post-race refreshments will be provided along with a selection of beer from Asheville Brewing Company for our of-age runners. Near the finish line on the main stage will be live music and both awards ceremonies.

 

The 5K awards ceremony at approximately 10:00 AM with the 10K to follow at 10:45 AM.

 

Awards

Special, commemorative awards will be given to the first three male and female overall and top male and female masters of both races. 

 

Age groups will be separated as follows:

5k

 10 & U; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; 85-89; 90 and over

 10k

15 & U; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80-89; 90 and over

 

Timing

The 5K race will utilize chip timing.  A timing chip will be on the back of your race bib, which should be worn on your front and visible at all times during the race.

 

Parking

There is plenty of free parking at The Salvage Station.  

 

Refunds/Transfers

The Asheville Running Experience has a NO REFUND policy. However, we do offer partial discount codes for cancellations during our cancellation periods. If the event is NOT sold out, a discount code for 50% of your race registration fee will be offered until 30 days prior to the race date. If the event IS sold out, a discount code for 100% of your race registration fee will be offered until 14 days prior to the race date. Discount codes can be used to register for another Asheville Running Experience event and will be valid for 12 months after the event date.

 

You may transfer your registration to another participant up to 14 days prior to the race day with a $2 transfer fee. You may only transfer an entry in the same race.  Email your transfer request to info@ashevillerunningexperience.com with your original registration information, including confirmation number as well as the email address for the participant who will be taking your place. Emails must be received no later than Monday, September 10, 2019.

 

Results

Live, unofficial results will be available during each race at results tent on-site.
